The British Bridleless Competition has been created due to the growing desire for horse and rider combinations wanting to compete bridleless, but not being allowed by any show venues!

The founder Mia Rodley, from The Heart of Horsemanship, has taken the initiative to host this competition after successfully competing in dressage with no bridle, by special permission of two different venues. She wishes to provide a place where true trust and communication can be showcased in a safe, and horse-first way.

This is the first time in history the UK has ever hosted a competition purely for bridleless riding.

The morning will consist of BD dressage tests, marked by two judges.

The afternoon will be show jumping, classes going up to 1.30m!

Spectators are welcomed free of charge during the daytime competition.

In the evening there will be a ticketed performance, aimed to inspire and showcase the fantastic relationships and partnerships - of course, all bridleless!

The day is insured by Howden insurance who we have worked with on creating thorough risk assessments and ultimately Mia Rodley will be ensuring every competitor is first and foremost, safe, and under control. If at any moment Mia feels a combination are not safe they will be politely asked to withdraw, to ensure the safety of the event.
